'Road Trip' to Canon City -

Nancy took a break from painting for a Road Trip to Canon City to visit with Kim Smith. Why?? The clothsline of Barn Quilts now stretches from North to South in Colorado. Fremont County is now the home to Barn Quilts. Why Fremont County?? Why Barn Quilts?? The answer, Fremont County Search and Rescue. Kim has 2 passions and they are now tied together. Make a donation to this organization and you can be a part of this growing movement. Check out her website http://www.coloradobarnquilts.com/ for more information.

What a fun day for Nancy but now she's back home finishing up painting another 5 barn quilts. Be sure to check back for more updates.

Painting and more painting of Barn Quilts for Morgan County!!!

What an amazing start to the 2011 Barn Quilt Season.  While passing though Ft. Morgan,   I stopped in to visit, and Nancy has been busy painting with 5 barn quilts nearly finished and has plans to start a large one that  looked fun.  Looking forward to seeing that one get finished.  She has a few more planned.

Fun Fact:  Fort Morgans Diamond Vogel donates the paint for Nancy to paint a portion of  these beautiful Barn Quilts!!  Thanks Diamond Vogel.  If you're interested in a barn quilt of your own, make sure you contact Nancy soon as she only does so many each summer.

Keep an eye on the blog as I am going to do my best to update you on everything going on with the Morgan County Barn Quilts.
